Royal Life Saving Society Certificates of Meritorious Action
The quick thinking and prompt action of 3 Dereham Leisure Centre pool lifeguards was recognised officially this week, when they were presented with Royal Life Saving Society Certificates of Meritorious Action by Breckland Council Chief Executive, Trevor Holden.

Banbury welcomes new leisure centre
The new Spiceball Leisure Centre at Banbury will open on 15th December 2009 and is part of a 25-year Design, Build, Operation & Maintenance contract agreed between the special purpose company (SPC) Cherwell Leisure, a subsidiary of Parkwood Consultancy Services, and Cherwell District Council.

Planting rare native trees at Kew - an ancient link to the past
Jonathan Hazell, Head of Arboricultural at Parkwood Consultancy Services and Chair of the Arboricultural Association`s Media Committee, was pleased to be present at an anniversary tree-planting ceremony at Kew Gardens with Tony Kirkham (Kew`s "Mr Tree"). The Arboricultural Association presented the rare native trees to Kew at a ceremony on 22 October to mark Kew`s 250th anniversary.

Footbridge Installed across River Cherwell
On 13 October 2009 the span of the footbridge was laid into place across the River Cherwell in Banbury towards the end of the construction of Spiceball Leisure Centre.
