Successful ISO certification for PCS
17/03/2009
PCS has been judged as providing a quality service as measured against the externally recognised ISO quality standard. Our Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) are key to satisfying our customers’ requirements and demands (as well as current statutory and regulatory requirements). Both systems are fundamental to the delivery of our strategic business plan and providing our services to the market in a timely and cost effective manner.
Our Management systems have been structured to provide continual improvement and development in the delivery of our services and the performance of our business. PCS will continue to develop its Management Systems to ensure they meet the requirements of ISO 9001 & ISO14001 and consistently maintain standards at, or above this level.
PCS Managing Director, Jeremy Lightfoot said: "As the champion for the company`s QMS and EMS, I shall ensure that at all levels within PCS we develop, co-ordinate, maintain and implement the required processes, systems and controls to ensure continued compliance with the required standards. Quality and environmental objectives consistent with the policy are set throughout the company, and are measured and monitored as part of the Management Review process. These objectives are updated annually in line with our Quality and Enviornmental Management Policies.
The Management Systems describe the measures that have been put in place to ensure that these processes are effective. We shall continue to perform with professionalism and at a consistent level of quality which will ensure that we continue to meet and exceed customers’ requirements and expectations."
The Quality and the Environmental policies are communicated to all staff upon induction and are on display to the public in the reception of PCS’s head office in Stratford-upon-Avon. In addition, the Environmental Policy is communicated to all persons working on behalf of PCS.
PCS is also a corporate member of APM (the Association for Project Management) and to further improve quality within its business practices all relevant employees of PCS hold a PRINCE2 qualification.
